Cory Snyder (Cleveland, AL)

"I sure wish we could hear Herb Score say..."

Left: Indians' 1954 sensation Herb Score in his playing days when he was the rookie of the year and heir apparent in a long line of great pitchers looking to return the tribe to the Series. Tragedy struck the Indians in 1957 when Score was felled by a line drive off the bat of New York's Gil McDougald. The tribe did not return to the Series for 40 years and has not won since '48.

On local Cleveland radio in the eighties, Herb Score was the voice of one of the most promising Indians teams (1987).
